Description
Here for sale is a near immaculate one-owner double pink vinyl copy of Death From Above 1979’s inspiring debut album. Released in 2004 on the British 679 record label in a limited 1st ed. of 3000 pink copies, the record was purchased new from London’s Rough Trade shop by singer/author Julian Cope. The item was immediately placed in a thick clear vinyl cover for safe keeping, while the two vinyl discs were themselves removed from their handsome printed inners in order to keep them free from possible disc wear. This has ensured that the entire package has remained as close to mint as when it first left the shop a decade-and-a-half ago.
Both pink vinyl discs are in near mint condition, though a tiny black mark can be seen blemishing side 4: a check on Discogs suggests this was an unfortunate but fairly common flaw. All four sides of the disc have just been played through and it’s a lovely loud cut. Some tiny crackles are in evidence at the very beginning of the opening track, plus a minor crackle on side two before the opening song begins. Other than those, the album is clean save for any imperfections listed next to the tracks below:
