Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (Cherry Red Records) AND Plastic Surgery Disasters (Alternative Tentacles)
Fresh Fruit - its condition is "Used" and "Cherished".
I'm not sure where and when this was pressed but I didn't care at the time and I still don’t. This is an important record and a must-have for all punk collections.
The cover's spine is damaged (see photo) - most likely due to neighbors pounding on my wall in 1980.
Includes the original two photocopied pages of lyrics, suburbia-loathing imagery and general mayhem.
This is the DKs at the height of their powers. This band was tight as hell, extremely political and chock full of street cred. Lead singer Jello Biafra was a force of nature.
Fun Fact: Jello ran for Mayor of San Francisco in 1979, losing to Dianne Feinstein but finishing a respectable 3rd out of 10 candidates.
His slogan? There's always room for Jello!
UPDATED! Now includes Plastic Surgery Disasters! This album is in really great shape. Sharp corners, no spine wear.
These are the albums your parents would've warned you about. Sonic subversion at finest.
A lovely one-two punch for any legit party.
