Description
Audiophile Nimbus Supercut David Sancious - The Bridge, a barely played 1st/only issue of this series.
A jazz album of mainly solo piano music (in a similar vein to Jarrett from Koln on, or those scarce acoustic outings of Herbie Hancock), on a rare Nimbus Supercut
audiophile vinyl pressing, a holy grail release which is rarely seen for sale, in near mint condition. An
enjoyable and diverse album which sounds superb on this audiophile release. When this came out in the 80's, you had to be a reader of Practical Hifi, like contemporary jazz (and possibly not already have this 1981 title, already 4 years old by then), and be bothered to send away a cheque for this via mail order offer from the magazine. They knew this limited the audience for it so about 800 were pressed. Of those how many have survived in clean condition as here?. The nimbus vinyl formula on special order from ICI back then is very very quiet, letting the mastertape do all the talking. I know this album like the back of my hand, having bought it in 1982 barely out of school, and having heard it many hundreds of times since then. On this pressing, there is improved clarity in the acoustic piano tone, with a distinct metallic sparkle to the very subtle percussion here. It is thrilling.
Nimbus England in the run out grooves as called for.
Sleeve & Vinyl is visually Near Mint. Played near mint on a high end valve system, no spindle marks to the pristine labels.
We pack in hard card custom made new boxes.
