Unusual and very interesting Mercury sampler LP from 1970/71 - including David's track, The Width Of A Circle. This was actually the very first release of this epic, brooding and dark song - it predates the release of The Man Who Sold The World, with its unforgettable drag cover! This double album compilation with a truly wild psychedelic cover(!) also features small black and white images of David's Mercury and Philips albums on the inside gatefold. AND, a huge foldout poster stored inside the sleeve has a great little biography and picture of the 23-year-old fledgling rockstar on one side (on the other is a psychedelic colour shot of the cover-star jester in front of a cosmic space background...). This is a fantastic heavy/psych collection in its own right, containing rare tracks, on top of the Bowie one, by Buddy Miles, Rod Stewart, Blue Cheer, The Second Coming, JD Blackfoot, Ancient Grease, Gator Creek, Trilogy, United Sons Of America, Broth and Exuma. Records are in EX condition, poster is EX+. The sleeve is VG+ with small sticker damage on the front. Please check out my other auctions.
