David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust The Motion Picture Soundtrack This is the 30th Anniversary Ltd. Edition Double Red Vinyl Release. It’s numbered 0649 and the catalogue no. is EMI 5419791
I have two copies of this record, both of which were unplayed so I played them all the way through to make sure there were no issues. (Please note, they were both handled with the utmost care and played using a well aligned turntable with a good stylus.) Although they were both unplayed, it appears there were slight pressing issues. They both had some noise in the right channel (Side 2 and 3 in particular) and occasional sibilance. They were still enjoyable to listen to and sounded good overall. My other copy is numbered 2941 so I think that whatever number you get, you’ll get pressing issues. Coloured vinyl was always going to be more for collectors than audiophiles I suppose.
