Description
This is the original Mercury release of the iconic, and rapidly withdrawn, ‘dress cover’ of The Man Who Sold the World. This album has been faked and re-released many times but this is the original cover and LP, with matrix numbers. The cover bears the usual signs of ageing associated with the soft, textured, cardboard originally used. The back has the same wear plus a small tear and stain, please see photos. The vinyl plays well, there is some surface noise during the quiet parts and the occasional click. It has the usual light surface marks and wear for a record of this age. The original paper slip is missing. The Mercury logo on side two has a cross scratched into it (see pictures). Please look at all the photos. I have listed all the faults because if you are reading this listing you know how rare this album is. It will only go up in value so grab a bargain and one of the most iconic original albums in the world. It will be fully insured in delivery, worldwide.
