What I have here is an Italian counterfeit of the U.K. Release made sometime around the early 80's.
Here are the identity signs of this counterfeit:
It has a non-textured cover
Photo has been cropped which results in Bowies feet touching side of cover
Tan label with no Mercury name on it
Etched matrix
Visually the vinyl has no real scratches to note mostly just paper sleeves scuffs. When played it has some moderate background noise with a few pops but nothing disturbing. The sound quality is pretty solid for a counterfeit. It's really a nice copy over all considering it's over 30 years old. Cover has some bumped corners and an indent on the back noted in picture.
