This David Bowie 1975 Re-issue, although in a lovely condition, has a small blemish along the A-side edge which gives rise to a noticeable pop on the quiet intro that fades out after 10 seconds. Whilst the vinyl itself is beautifully shiny, vinyl imperfections - especially with songs that have quiet sections, are often amplified which is a trait that is synonymous with many demo pressings. At times during the quiet sections of the A-side, there is the odd light pop. Having said that, both sides play through without any other major issues and still sound pretty good.
The picture cover did not come to the radio station I was working at in the 70s. It was designed by an assistant programmer and Bowie fan at BBC Radio Humberside who left the station and went on to work for Decca Records in London. She designed the cover whilst working in Decca Record's Art Department so it's a one-off and also bears the BBC Radio Humberside credit along the back, top right side.
Not many of these demos to be found these days so well worth having it in your collection.
