Up for auction is a nice copy of the following album:

SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT THIS RARE ALBUM: Here is the deal.  When "Station to Station" was originally released in the United States by RCA Victor, it was assigned the catalog number APL1-1327.  *THIS IS THE SAME CATALOG NUMBER OF THIS ALBUM*; it appears on the front cover (at the top center), on the back cover (at the top right), and on the actual album labels. (See pictures.)  *HOWEVER*, all of the versions of this original release/catalog number that I've seen have the traditional TAN-colored RCA labels.  If you look elsewhere on eBay, you have find a few of those versions being sold. 
The first RCA Victor "black labels" for this album came out in 1976.  The album was eventually reissued by RCA Victor in 1984, and those 1984 albums were issued with a black label *BUT* they had a NEW AND DIFFERENT catalog number: AQL1-1327.  The "black label" 1984 reissue is not very common, either -- there are a few for sale on eBay -- but *ALL* of them have the NEW "AQL" catalog number AND NOT THE ORIGINAL "APL" number.  Also note that the album that I've listed for sale -- like all copies of "Station to Station" that were issued in 1976 -- does NOT had a UPC/bar code on the cover; in contrast, the 1984 version did have the UPC code on the back.
Finally, this copy of "Station to Station" is also rare because, not only is this version the very first issue on the black label, but it has the original inner sleeve.  I do not believe that the subsequent reissues had the original inner sleeve.  You should keep in mind that RCA changed from the tan to the black labels in 1976, the same year that Station To Station was released, which is why, technically, one could have "originals" with both the tan and black labels.  The tan-labeled originals can be found; black label originals, as this appears to be, are unicorns.
For serious collectors of Bowie rarities, this is perhaps a UNIQUE opportunity to own one of his rarest disks.

Condition: Vinyl is in great condition, still has its original glossy shine.  No easily apparent scratches or scuffs.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  Handled very carefully.  Nice!  Grade: Near Mint (NM).
Cover basically looks very nice and clean.  There is some -- but not a lot of -- ring wear (see pictures).  A previous owner inked his initials ("BAA") on the left side of back cover.  (See pictures.)  Top left corner is bent up a bit (see pictures), but otherwise there is minimal corner and edge wear.

Inner sleeve is original and looks great, although one corner does have a bend in it.  Otherwise, there are very few marks or discolorations on it.  (NOTE: the sleeve was photographed with the album inside it, giving the impression that the sleeve is permanently bent to the shape of the album.  It really isn't, and it looks much better in person than in the photos, at least in my opinion.)  (See pictures.)
