Condition: from a well-cared-for large private collection; 

  Vinyl: Very Good (VG) - some clicks and pops, most noticeable during track three on side one, otherwise nothing else too distracting, mostly superficial handling/storage scuffs; 

  Printed (not paper) Labels: Near Mint (NM, M-) - side one has a small patch of surface smudging to the gloss varnish; strangely, side two has no varnish around the central circle surrounding the spindle hole;

  Card Sleeve: Very Good (VG) - very small amounts of wear to corners and edges, a crescent crease half way down the right-hand side of the front cover with some ink rub on the high point, slight impression of the disc at the top and bottom of the cover; the back cover has a light impression of the disc and some light ink rub across the top edge following the glue tab position, otherwise just a few light superficial handling/storage scuffs;

  Inner Paper Sleeve: Very Good (VG) - some yellowing with age, a few spots/stains, a crease across one corner, intact with no seam splits or tears;

  Poster: Very Good Plus (VG+) - just very slight yellowing with age on the un-printed side, tiny superficial handling/storage scuffs and some slight creasing.

Reissue by RCA of ‘David Bowie’ previously released on Philips Records SBL 7912 in a non-laminated card sleeve with a new design (on front bottom right-hand corner - text is on one line only, other issues have it split onto two lines).

This reissue drops track A2.2 'Don't Sit Down' that appears on the original 1969 release.

This copy issued with a 21"x24" poster of the cover shot.

The variations shown on this listing included both different stampers from the same lacquer cut as well as different lacquer cuts from the source tape. The first number & letter combination after the matrix number (eg BPRS 4502- 1E, 2E etc) indicates the sequence of cuts (1,2,3) and whether they were cut at RCA or not (eg E). It follows that each cut may sound different from others.
