An original 1st press on RCA of Space Oddity in the UK in 1972. Please be aware that there is a super-rare 1969 issue with different cover on the Phillips label. This release in 1972 was part of a Bowie relaunch on RCA. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut possible. Please note publishing credits mention 'Titanic' and this indicates the pressing dates from the period just before Bowie hit it big with Ziggy Stardust. Later copies would mention 'Mainman' rather than Titanic. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover without the Mainmain logo. Another hint that this is a super early copy is the inclusion of a Bowie poster and the sticker on the front cover advertising said poster. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers - this is one of those slabs of vinyl you can but dream about. Beautifully shiny and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with prefect clarity. This is so so important particularly on a title like this one which is chock full of acoustic numbers. Interference is totally absent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles [literally] throughout the entire record. The audio quality is just so darn good I am running out of superlatives to describe it! A FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. This title is often found with a good deal of handling wear. But this copy really is well preserved with only the very lightest of handling signs. Colours are still nice and vivid with no signs of ageing. Edge wear is very light and all the text on the spine is fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. A very very nice original specimen.
Inner (Ex+) A couple of light crease. But no splits, no marks, and no ageing.
Poster (Ex) A couple of light creases. No splits. One tiny stain in the middle on the rear.
