Very rare original US 45 of Space Oddity on the Mercury label from 1969 - cat. 72949. Unlike the vast majority of these 45s to be on the marketplace, this one does not have a drill hole through the label! I searched high and low for a copy like this for years... took me ages to find this untainted copy! This fantastic single has the original US edit of this groundbreaking song, which was only available on the US and Canadian releases. A strange and interesting fade-out at the end! The b-side is a fantastic acoustic performance of The Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud. Record is in EX+ condition with clean labels and only the very lightest surface marks. The original Mercury company sleeve is similarly in EX+ condition. Don't let this one pass! I've been collecting Bowie vinyl for decades - but changing work circumstances means it's time to clear out the cupboards and move along.
