Description
For a period of about 8 years in the late 60's and the early 70's , records were being pressed in Lebanon under licence from the parent record companies. This stopped when the local civil war broke out in 1975 and was never resumed. Only very few copies of each record were pressed. So, if you do find a record that is pressed in Lebanon, be sure that it is a very rare item.
David Bowie - Space Oddity/ Wide Eyed Boy From Free Cloud (Philips BF 1801)
This is probably the rarest Lebanese pressed record by a foreign artist that there is. In my 7 years of buying and selling Lebanese pressed records, I have only seen 2 other copies. It was pressed in Lebanon by Philips Liban - the label says on it "Made In Lebanon". The record is in EX+++ condition and it comes in it's original Lebanese Philips sleeve! This being an extremely rare item, I have put a reserve on this auction because if I can't sell it at a reasonably high price I would rather keep it in my own collection.
