Description

This auction is for a signed copy of Hunky Dory (without the outer sleeve) with lyrics and a COA.

I picked this up at a car boot sale a few years ago in the wrong sleeve. I did not realise what the sleeve contained until I got home. When I saw it I hung onto it but I have no idea of it's authenticity and/or whether it was intentionally in the wrong sleeve (Suzanne Vega's first self titled album from 1986). It does have a certificate of authentication, but it does not specifically refer to Hunky Dory.

The record obviously cannot be played but it appears to be signed by David in Silver felt pen. The copy itself looks like an early 1971 pressing on the Orange RCA label.

It looks like authenticated autographs but I just can't be sure, hence the low starting price and the chance to pick up a genuinely rare bargain.

The autograph appears to have the date 2000 or 2001. David often added a date. I had thought the date was part of the signature until closer inspection.
