David Bowie Hunky Dory 1971 US LSP-4623 RCA orange flexi /Textured cover VG+/NM
Cover: VG+. Really Nice, title spine has the most significant wear spots(the very beginnings of seam splitting, but not separated at all. Just some white impressions on the charcoal colored spine).Top spine has 3-4 small wear spots, bottom spine is almost perfect.
Printed Lyric Sleeve has held up well thru the decades, one typical diagonal crease in one corner, and the inevitable tiny bends on the top edge being of a waxy brown paper bag type of material.VG++
Disc: NM. Visual-dull gloss is predominant. No real scratches, some ghostly sleeve removal impressions and some visual pressing gremlins at the lead-in groove area. I'd call it Mint if the gloss was more shiny.
Audio: close to perfection. The needle drop at the lead-in groove on Side 1 has 2-3 low-level crackles before "Changes" starts and then after it begins, there's about 4 quiet ticks during the piano intro before the drums/full band come in. Maybe one more tick after the drums are in, then, I really don't hear any more noise afterwards or in between tracks on Side 1.The needledrop on Side 2-A bit of crackle at the very very outer, far edge of the lead-in groove, if you ever put the stylus that far out. Then it's gone. Then one barely audible crackle (0.5 out of 10 for a noise level reference) before "Fill Your Heart" starts. Then, no noise in between tracks for the remainder of the Side. I'd easily call it Near Mint for the entire disc, a superb copy.
