David Bowie "HUNKY DORY" Original USA Dynaflex Pressing from 1971
This US copy of Hunky Dory comes with the rare printed lyrics inner sleeve as opposed to just a 2 sided lyric insert..
Early copy with no MAINMAN anywhere on the record or cover, I reckon it's from 1971 or 1972
This Album is over 50 years old and it's still in great condition
The cover is in very good condition. Still very strong and sturdy with perfect seams, with a great readable spine... Not the usual flattened and frayed covers that these early Pressings usually have..
The rear of the cover is particularly good for a Hunky Dory nice and clean and still white.
Some small buffs on the corners.
These Hunky Dory covers normally do not last the test of time, more than often they are frayed and flattened and split.. NOT this one it's it's in superb condition , it still has plenty of life left in it
The rare Inner lyric sleeve also very good apart from a few creases and a couple of creases and small splits
But please study the pics to decide for yourself, I always attempt to make my pics of any album cover nice and clear with the WHOLE cover/sleeve in the pic, unlike most others on here
The Vinyl record is in very good condition, looks great with perfect labels,
I religiously test play all my records before listing and on my Project Essential deck it sounds magic, there are no jumps or clicks but a there are a couple of marks here and there, one on Changes which makes a noise in the background for about 20 seconds of the song
But as I said no jumping or sticks.
It's still a fantastic sounding playback.
If I didn't think it was worth listing it wouldn't be on here,
I've sold dozens of Hunky Dory and this is a great rare complete early version for the price I'm asking
I was going to keep it due to the fact it has the rarer inner sleeve but you can't keep them all and believe me I've already got too many copies of HUNKY DORY...you know what it's like collecting vinyl, lol !!
Sorry for the long winded description but I very very rarely buy a record with a 3 line description, it maybe works for some folk but not me, I believe in a decent honest description which hopefully removes the doubt when you buy a used record
Listed at a great price for a 1971 Hunky Dory Pressing, .. And
priced below ebay recommendations
