DAVID BOWIE - ALADDIN SANE. RCA VICTOR RS1001. LSP4852. 1973. STEREO. MATRIX (SIDE 1 - CPRY 4543 3T) MATRIX (SIDE2 - CPRY 4544 3T). ORIGINAL UK 1ST PRESS. THICK CARD INNER SLEEVE AND ORIGINAL SHOREWOOD PACKAGING GATEFOLD COVER BOTH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION .
OUTER SLEEVE: (EX)
Gatefold sleeve has no labels etc stuck on or removed and very few signs of ring wear. No tears or splits and in very clean condition with no creases or dirty marks. Unlaminated with very slight sign of foxing down the internal central line of the fold over. Usual Shorewood sleeve in mainly blue and red script with Mainman and other credits. Colours are vivid and clean.
INNER SLEEVE: (EX)
Includes all Bowie lyrics except for the Stone's track Let's Spend the Night Together. Illustrated heavy card which is clean with no tears, creases etc..Lovely example with the Zig Zag motifs from Bowie's make-up and hardly any wear.
LABELS: (EX)
Orange RCA Victor Labels in mostly black print with some white print. All titles and credits very clean and easy to read. No spindle wear to speak of. Obvously not played a lot.
VINY AND TEST PLAYING: (EX)
Visually the disc is near mint. There is no sign of warping, no visual scratches, scuffs or other damage. I played the disc several times on my Audio Concept Deck, Naim amplifiers in series and Kef Foundry Reference Speakers.
There was no mis-tracking, jumping, clicks, pops etc.. Neither of the discs were warped. The excellent Stereo sound displayed good separation of instruments, drums and vocals. There was some slight, minor surface noise in places but mostly between tracks. Every bit as good as some modern pressings I buy. An excellent clean vinyl pressing which was a pleasure to listen to. I have listed this as EX but I think it is really NM.
CLEANING AND DISPATCH:
I will be using a Professional Wet solution / Hoover type Deep Groove Cleaning machine before sending, and provide a new replacement card inner sleeve and anti-static inner sleeve for your choice. The sleeve will have a good plastic cover. I will pack well with cardboard stiffener pads and a strong cardboard record case for protection. Postage is by Signed for process.
