Description

An original 1st issue of Aladdin Sane on the UK RCA label from toward the end of the chart run in 1973. Matrix 4E/4E [for very 1st press look for 3T/3T]. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card 1st issue gatefold cover. Also included is the original thick card inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could make out a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It's a very nice clean playing copy which lets you hear this classic in all its full glory.
Cover (Ex) A real tricky one to find in clean condition due to the white textured unlaminated surface - it usually shows up a lot of problems. Not here, this copy seems to have pretty much avoided the ageing process [and foxing]. It's very clean with minimal handling and remains nice and white - with perhaps one slight grubby patch on the rear at the opening. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is surprisingly light and the openings are still sharp. All the text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of wear in places. Two inch bottom edge split.
