12" LP ~ Various Artists ~ "Philips Revolutionaries Sampler"
A super-rare New Zealand-only stereo compilation LP of tracks recorded for the Philips label by David Bowie, Flaming Youth, Blond, The Motions, Manfred Mann, Ten Wheel Drive with Genya Raven, Steam, The Frost, John Dummer Band, Taste, The Barry Goldberg Reunion and Cuby + Blizzards. Released on the Philips label in New Zealand ONLY in 1969! The David Bowie track is Space Oddity, and on the rear of the sleeve it states that the song is 'from Philips LP BY 852146 "David Bowie". There is also a small black and white picture of the front and rear sleeve of that super-rare LP.

Cover has three flipback edges and in Ex- to Ex condition with a small name written on the back cover. Otherwise, no tears, writing or stickers.
Record is in Ex- condition. Needs a light clean.
Labels have no writing, tears or stickers. Nice copy.

Grading scale used
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. I don't use this grade ever.
Excellent (Ex) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (Vg) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. I only list Good/Fair/Poor records if they are rare or especially sought after.
