Dave ‘n’ Lee. I Can See The Colours Of A Butterfly / Love Is A Million Miles Away. Australian pressing. 1969. Festival. FK 3234. Dave ‘n’ Lee were a Melbourne-based group that included David Burnett and Lee Cutelle, releasing one psychedelic single in 1969. With Gordon Harran and Michael Kelly formed Avery Lane, which in short order became Beaut, producing two singles on Infinity during their short existence in 1976-77, buoyed by television exposure on such shows as Countdown and Sounds Unlimited. Dave, Lee and Michael went in a New Wave direction with their next band, Branded, in 1979 before forming British Jets in 1980. Record in Very Good condition with some scuffs and minor scratches that don’t affect play. Pen marks on labels. Generic paper sleeve. SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and took four months reach Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. I’d also prefer to fully insure the higher-valued purchases, which means the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form (some buyers, from countries that levy customs duty, have been reluctant to do this in the past). However, this is something we can negotiate post-auction. If buyers want to forgo claiming a refund on damaged goods (check my feedback and you’ll see I pack EXTREMELY well), then that’s up to them.
