Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.

Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a soft poly inner sleeve.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I grade a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the eBay grading category to describe the cover condition.

  • This is a First Pressing on an Atlantic Records Promotional copy of the original 1973 release.
  • It is a Monarch pressing.
  • This copy has never been played.
  • The Promo sticker is on the front cover.
  • The cover has tight seams and shows no wear.
  • The 12x24 insert has lyrics, credits and a photo.
  • The Atlantic catalog inner sleeve is included. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve.
  • This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Atlantic Records in 1973. It has been in storage for 50 years.
Note: This is the second of their first 3 albums on Atlantic. "Shes' Gone" was obviously a great song and everyone at Atlantic felt it was a hit but they could't get it played on the radio. A couple years later when Daryl & John signed with RCA, Atlantic re-released "She's Gone" and reissued the album and it still didn't get played on very many radio stations. It is one of their great tracks that was never a hit. RCA subsequently included "She's Gone" on a Hall & Oates greatest hits album. BTW, the rest of this album is really good too.
