Dark Star- s/t UK LP Avatar Records 1981 AA LP 5003: From the more melodic side of the NWOBHM came Birmingham’s Dark Star. This short lived outfit managed to pack tons of tasteful melody and catchiness into the tracks on their 1981 self-titled LP; most notably “Lady of Mars” also featured on a couple different edition singles. The vinyl here is in beautiful condition, while the jacket is only downgraded by the presence of the beginnings of a split on the side spine. VG++/VG+
