MAXWELLS - Maxwell Steet ( MPS 15 242, Germany 1969 )
Here we have an rare original copy from this outstanding Danish underground band. A creative amalgam of jazz prog psych rock work. 5 long tracks with sitar, flutes, sax, trombones, acoustic / electric guitars, bass, drums / percussions, piano, organ and vocals. Some musicians later played in various wellknown groups in collector circles like Bert Hesselmann (later in the Rainbow Band), or Torben Enghoff (later in Thors Hammer and Pan). This album was recorded and released in Germany only, produced from the legendary Joachim E. Berendt.
The gatefold cover is in top excellent plus to mint minus (ex+/m-) condition,
The record shows only a few hairlines / paper scuffs - unfortunately, I think through a pressing fault, it makes in the beginning of side two 3-4 louder clicks - otherwise it looks and plays in the excellent plus direction - but so I can only give an very good plus grading.
