Description
Original 1957 Canadian copy of The Dance Album of Carl Perkins on Quality V-1611. Licensed exclusively from Sun Records, this is the even rarer Canadian LP with the full black and white photograph of the young Carl Perkins on the album cover, far superior to the US Dance Album cover. There were fewer copies of this album printed than its American counterpart, and this LP rarely turns up for auction on eBay. Although not a pristine copy, this 50 year old LP is a decent playable copy: Vinyl = VG- / Cover = VG- . The deep groove monaural record has several light scuffs and minor scratches with a few pops in places, but plays without skips and has good fidelity and bright gloss. Labels are clean with one minor scrape near center hole on Side 2. Front cover photo is in excellent shape with minor rubbing at top right. Top seam is split approx. 6", spine is split across middle approx. 9" but is intact, bottom seam is perfect. Back cover has darkened aging spots around edges and darkened strips where previous owner removed tape from spine and top seam. This is a good presentable copy of a very rare LP that play grades a strong VG and provides a very satisfactory listening experience.
