Description

You are bidding on a rare LP record album by Dale Hawkins, "Suzie-Q", on the Chess record label #1429. The trail off vinyl is etched, (not stamped), "CHESS-LP-8676", on side 2.  On side 1 is etched in the trail off vinyl, "CHESS-LP-8675".  The vinyl is in awesome condition.  Side one, both the label and vinyl is immaculate.  Side two is basically the same with only some very light, isolated in one spot, and in the trail off vinyl, a few light scratches that can hardly be noticed, even under intense light.  There are a few very light surface marks on the vinyl but they are so elusive to notice, I almost feel foolish mentioning them.  Also one very, very light scratch that goes through two songs on the outer edge of song bands.  Also, this is extremely minor.  This description has been very critical for the serious record collector.  This disc is amazing in its original, blazing gloss and near perfection.  The jacket is in very good conition with excellent edges.  The corners are good with the upper right and lower righ having a very small pinch.  The lower right corner starts a very minor split which is no more than 1/8 of an inch.  The surface of the front of the cover has some light soiling and some light ringwear at the top.  I have tried to show this in the pictures, as this is not too bad at all.  There are also a few specks by Hawkins mouth-this also is minimal  The back cover facing has general, light to moderatae, soiling of the white background.  The back cover states in the upper left hand corner, "ARGO L.P. 1429".   The labels state, "chess recording corp., chicago UNBREAKABLE",  with no mention of Argo.  The songs on side one are: 1-Suzie Q. 2-Don't Treat Me This Way 3-Juanita 4-Tornado 5-Little Pig 6-Heaven.  On side two: 1-Baby Baby 2-Mrs. Mergritory's Daughter 3-Take My Heart 4-Wild, Wild World 5-See You Soon Baboon 6-Four Letter Word-Rock.
