1971 Japanese 1st issue of different cover!  ("Wrong side" front cover)





On this version the right hand side of daevid's "inside the gatefold" drawing,  Japanese pressing, released in 1971 produced by Nippon Columbia, 
we now consider to be the first one officially released to the public. 

The label is black with the BYG logo in blue and the lettering in red. 
The Japanese 3 letters "???" below blue buddha logo means "PROMO PRESSING". 
With so-called the "wrong side cover". 
The side with the track listing and the musician credits, is used as the cover, 
with the left-hand side of daevid's drawing appearing on the back cover. 
A straight-forward mistake perhaps, producing the original gatefold album artwork in effect 'inside-out'? 

Inside the gatefold, the right-hand side being filled with album info in Japanese. 

We have not seen an Obi for this PROMO release.

Vinyl : Ex+  Plays superbly both sides.     


Grading is basically by visual inspection, but being a long-time record collector, I've gotten pretty good at it.
I will mention honestly if I play graded, which I do if it seems necessary.
