Description
The Dynamic Upsetters
Tricky Chic/Love Changes
Released by Mega Sound Studios
Record: NM-
Virtually unknown Modern Soul 45 from North Carolina. On the same label as Mellow Madness' "Save the Youth" and in the same league as well. This is the first, and probably last time it'll ever be offered on eBay. Tracks don't get any more rare than this, and it's pretty killer.
You can hear the first 2 minutes of the track, so I'll have to give a short description of the rest. For the final two minutes the song starts jamming with the vocals dropping out and horns coming in. After a minute an organ joins in and shortly afterward "I'm coming to get cha" is alternately repeated with "tricky chic tryin to be slick". The last two minutes might be the best part of the song but I have to leave them out to preserve the rarity of the track for the winner of the auction.

I do my best to grade conservatively. I’d much rather have a happily surprised customer than a disappointed one. We all know that better grades get more money but it’s more important to recognize that poorly graded records get negatives. In order to avoid inaccurately grading my records I adhere to the Goldmine grading system. You won’t see more than one “+” from me unless I can justify its inclusion.
SS/Still Sealed: The record is still sealed! Imperfections in shrink wrap will be noted along with any other condition issues.
Mint: The record and sleeve are perfect in every way. It doesn’t even look like anyone has ever breathed on it. No spindle marks, no wisps, nothing!
Near Mint/NM: These records have a few minor imperfections, but not anything that would affect play. For the record it’s very light paper scuffs that can’t be heard and aren’t visually distracting. For the cover it can be very faint ringwear and a bumped corner.
Very Good Plus/VG+: The record can have light paper scuffs and light scratches that DO NOT affect play. Low surface noise during play through dead wax is acceptable, but only at volumes significantly lower than the music. For the cover there will be light wear from storage that does not affect the beauty of the artwork. This includes bumped corners, light ringwear and light scuffs.
Very Good/VG: These records have noticeable signs of handling and play. The record will have lost much of its luster and have light surface scratches that may affect play. The cover will have noticeable ringwear, bumped corners and the beginning of a split seam. These records are still enjoyable.
If you would like a more detailed description of an item’s condition please ask. All records are visually graded and some are audibly graded as well. If you would like me to audibly grade a record for you, please ask!
International Buyers Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
Shipping
Domestic Shipping: Shipping for the first record is $4 for Media Mail and includes delivery confirmation. Additional records cost $1. Double albums count as two records and ship for $5. I ship my records in the industry standard LP mailer. The record is removed from the sleeve to avoid splitting. Both the record and sleeve are placed in a plastic sleeve that is then sealed to avoid shifting. Extra cardboard inserts sandwich the record for rigidity. In my experience, bubble wrap is inadequate for records while cardboard inserts protect the record from improper handling.
Insurance is mandatory for records that sell for $50 OR MORE. Before paying, please wait for an invoice that includes shipping and insurance. For records under $50, insurance can be purchased if you want. I spend a lot of time packing my records correctly. It’s my dream that every record sent by me arrives in the same condition, but it doesn’t always happen. The USPS processes a lot of packages and they do make mistakes. If you decide to have an item sent without insurance, know that I pack my records to the best of my ability, but I’m not responsible for the USPS’ mistakes.
Having said that, I do accept returns within 7 days as long as the item is in the condition it was sent.
If you have any special requests please let me know!
International Shipping for records that sell for less than $50: the first record costs $14 US to ship International First Class. Additional records cost $3 US.
International Shipping for records that sell for more than $50: the firts record costs $33 to ship Priority Mail International. Additional records cost $3 US. Insurance is also required and is determined at the end of the auction. This is non-negotiable. If you do not agree with these terms then please do not bid.
Final Word
