Duran Duran - "Live Dance Pack" (?) - Sides 3 & 4: American Science w/ Proposition w/ dubs / Masterdisk Corporation, 6/10/87, 2 x 12" acetates in a generic gatefold with a production sticker to the front / VG++/EX
Not quite sure where this fits in the history of DD commercial releases. Presumed at first that these were acetates for the 1987 EMI/Capitol Master Mixes 12" and that may well be the case. I hesitate to make the ascription as the labels credit production to producers Freddy Bastone (American Science) and Mark Barry (Proposition) and Master Mixes seems to credit other hands. The sleeve titles these mixes, albeit hesitantly, part of "Live Dance Pack". EMI is also credited on the sleeve but no catalogue number there or anywhere (no catalogue number on the labels, dead wax is empty). Erased/overwritten at the end of the side 4 label is a Mystery Master Mix (which did show up on the Master Mixes release) I've provided a sample of the tail end of side 3A and start of 3B. No track times provided but my count has American Science at 6:30, Proposition at 7:00, American Science dub at 5:30, and Proposition dub at 6:00. We don't have sides 1 and 2.
