Description

Presenting two classic Duke Ellington performances on 78 rpm.  This Brunswick record no. 4492 was issued in July 1929 under the name of The Jungle Band (to avoid issues with the Victor Recording Company), and features sidemen like Sonny Greer, Johnny Hodges and Barney Bigard.

The disc features two outstanding jazz numbers:  "Jungle Jamboree" and "What Did I Do to Be So Black and Blue?".  I have graded it in excellent minus condition, due to some small, superficial scratches from light use.  It plays loud and strong with no distortion, even on the Sonny Greer bass passages.

Please be sure to look at both of my photos below.   We are 78 rpm record collectors ourselves, and have shipped them many times.   We will package this disc very carefully, so it arrives in your hands in the same condition as it left ours.  Bid with confidence!

Thanks for looking, and good luck.
