SAMEDI SOIR / SEXY BANANA ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by DRUMS MUSIC SHOW. Original Italian pressing on the DRUMS label (ED 2042), from 1979. "J'aime la musique..." indeed! :) Killer Italo deviance by this mysterious studio group. Funky tropical percussion and basslines / disco strings / cosmic synthesizers and infectious piano / seductive lead vocals sung in French / dub production and pumping, proto house beats on the amazing SAMEDI SOIR theme. Pure disco fantasy, comped in mixes by Les Yeux Orange et al. Great for DJs. Music written by Circus 2000 Italian prog group leader, Marcello "Spooky" Quartarone. The b-side, SEXY BANANA is also superb. Much more trashy and debauched with sleazy euro disco rhythms in a jungle groove with funky percussion breaks and vocals also sung in French. Best copy we've ever found. Very rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a few hairlines and some old, faded pressing residue marks. Light surface noises (but mostly to fading outros which is common for this release). Paper deterioration wear to label (mostly to one side) around the big hole area and a small part of the outer circumference but again, common for this release. The delicate, laminated paper sleeve is in VG++ condition overall with ring creasing / ring dirt marks from storage. A touch of corner and edge wear. A couple of mini dirt stains (front sleeve). Very rare 45!!!
