THE GIMMICK FOLD-OUT GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN EX. CONDITION, 

HOWEVER THERE IS A YELLOW LABEL AT THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER ON THE FRONT OF THE SLEEVE (SEE PICTURES) ALSO, THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF MINIMAL 'AGE' TYPE WARE ON THE CREASES OF THE 'GIMMICK' FOLD-OUT FLAPS. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO MENTION - THE COLOURS ARE STILL VIBRANT AND FRESH LOOKING, THERE ARE NO TARES ON THE COVER. AS SUCH, THE SLEEVE IS ESSENTIALLY IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO PROBLEMS !

`Heavy Petting' is the 2nd LP by Dr.Strangely Strange,

They were an experimental Irish folk group, a favourite of the late John Peel. They were a short-lived outfit and have been favourably compared to The Incredible String Band.

Their music has achieved cult status among record collectors.

They were formed in Dublin in 1967 - The original group comprised Tim Booth (vocals, guitar), Ivan Pawle (bass and keyboards) and singer Tim Goulding. The line up was augmented with guest musicians for the album and included 16-year-old Gary Moore, who later to achieve fame with Thin Lizzy. His fluent guitar provided some of the best moments on this diverse and entertaining set of original songs, with drumming by Dave Mattacks.

Joe Boyd, a young American based in London, produced `Heavy Petting', which was first released on the Vertigo label in 1970. The album has eleven tracks, including such quirky songs, such as `Ballad Of Wasps', `Summer Breeze', and `I Gave My Love An Apple'. There are hymns and laments, country jigs and boogie riffs - all played with lively enthusiasm and innocent charm. `Kilmanoyadd Stomp' has Ivan Pawle playing harmonium, while Goulding plays the recorder, which adds to the traditional flavour.

The now famous, intricate foldout sleeve is of course credited to the even more famous Roger Dean!!!!
