Dr.John’s REMEDIES is a great example of his earlier recordings - very late sixties/seventies influences. The musicians are top notch. The sound quality on this particular reissue is excellent! While there are only six songs on this, please be aware that tracks 5 and 6 have a running time of more than 27 minutes. Track 6 titled “Anglo Anthem” is over 17 minutes long and it provides for a non stop musical journey. Various tempo changes - lots of percussion sounds and effects - interesting vocal arrangements and great bass and drum playing. All songs written by Dr. John.
