Description
Unique opportunity to own a copy of an ultra rare mono promo d/j white label copy of New Orleans R&B artist Dr John's classic fifth album, a tribute to the music of his native city. The album is a collection of covers of New Orleans classics, played by a major figure in the city's music. Insert includes a short bio and a breakdown of each track as told to Jerry Wexler.
Record appears clean with no scratches or obvious defects. White label is very clean with no visible spindle marks indicating the record has had little or no play. Heavy gatefold cover has red d/j sticker on front. Front, back, inside sleeve and spine are in good shape with minor ring wear, corner bumps and lower right back cover crease. Sleeve has edge wear typical for a record that is over 45 years old and a split seam on the bottom of the back cover of the gatefold sleeve. Insert is clean and in good shape. Grading is visual only.
