DOUG SAHM & THE MARKAYS & PHAROAHS, 60s DOO WOP ROCKABILLY 45, SWINGIN’ LABEL
Swingin’ label, 1960, condition is M -. Small writing on label. Side 1 is If You Ever Need Me (this is the side with The Pharoahs). Doo-wop with backing vocals. Trebely guitar with banging piano, and big slapping drums! Got a wailin’ sax break! Totally cool and great all the way, with a rockabilly flavor! Side 2 is Why Why Why (with the Markays). Doo-wop teen rockaballad! Singer really belts it out! No backing vocal. Bangin’ piano and cool horns. Overall, totally cool sound! Doug Sahm was later in the mid ‘60s group, Sir Douglas Quintet.
