Dorati & The Minneapolis - DORATI SYMPHONY - Mercury Living Presence SR-90248 - RFR2/RFR2 - TAS
The Merc release of the DORATI SYMPHONY, picked by TAS, isn't all that easy to find. A short run release, it features maestro Dorati's famed Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, captured in 1958 by Wilma Cozart in Northrop Memorial Auditorium, where she had captured Dorati's famous FIREBIRD the year before.
This is a delightful RFR pressing in very fine shape. Cover is very crisp but with signs of age in the laminate (nothing serious). Inside, the stout RFR platter should play near mint. (Note a small ink note on the back-cover.)
