Description

This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy from the Allentown pressing (on which more below) of the fourth LP by the Doors, released in 1969.  The record sees the group trying their hand at soul-inflected horn rock.  Four singles were culled from it, but only one, "Touch Me" (the follow-up to "Hello, I Love You"), was a hit.  A note about this pressing: Elektra stopped using gold/tan disc labels in 1969.  The Allentown pressing plant was the last to use them, and per Discogs, this Doors LP was the last to receive them, accounting for its rarity.  The gatefold jacket has a 2” split in the top seam, seam wear, and mostly light ring, corner, and spine wear (EX-).  The disc is clean with a little light scraping and scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-).  The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
