THE DOORS – ABSOLUTELY LIVE

An indispensable snapshot of The Doors at their peak! This “organic documentary” of the Doors' 1970 tour was painstakingly assembled by producer Paul Rothchild to create the ultimate Doors concert experience from a series of explosive live performances. Some fans witnessed these performances firsthand, others vicariously through the headlines that seemed to follow every incendiary show. For all, Absolutely Live! emerged as the document of a band pushing the limits of what was possible on stage...and in rock 'n' roll itself.
THE DOORS – LIVE IN NEW YORK
The latest addition to The Doors acclaimed series of archival concert releases, Live In New York features the complete first show of the band’s four-gig, two-night stand at New York’s Felt Forum in January 1970. Recorded just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel, this concert finds Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on songs from their forthcoming album, classics from the band’s 1967, self-titled debut, and a number of driving blues covers. This show also marks The Doors’ final New York City performances with Morrison, who would pass away the following year.
