Description
Up for auction is a super rare copy of the Donovan album Sunshine Superman, originally released in the U.S. on Epic Records (LN 24217) in 1966.
-Guaranteed original pressing, not recent reissue
-Rare MONO pressing -Early 1D/1J stamps in deadwax
-Original paste-down cover
-No UPC/bar code on cover -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile inner sleeve
Note: The Epic U.S. pressings of this record are the true first pressings, released prior to the U.K. versions of this album, thus making this a truly rare copy of this Psych-Folk classic.
Condition:
Cover looks very nice, with only light signs of age or wear. Front looks attractive and colorful, clean. Back looks nice and clean, faint rub and signs of age to white border, but not significant. Seams are nice, no splits, but a hint of rub here and there. Corners are very nice, faint bump. Nice original!
Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl also looks nice, still has its original glossy shine. Looks very clean, but under a strong light, some very faint, superficial hairlines show up, probably from taking the vinyl out of paper inner sleeve a few times, but nothing deep or serious--nothing that will affect the quality of playback, which is very nice. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes. Vinyl looks like it's maybe been played only a couple times but handled with care. Very nice original.
