This an original pressing of a very scarce title from the mid 1950's on the highly regarded boutique jazz label Transition founded by the legendary record producer Tom Wilson. This is great album featuring some fine tracks from great Donald Bryd. It also includes a facsimile copy of the small booklet that these records originally came with, sadly the original booklets are extremely difficult to find now and many did not survive. This is one of a number of rare gems from my collection that I am sadly selling due to the need to downsize.
Record Grading: G
Side A / Side B: G:Many surface scuffs & scratches all over the surface, a few more lightly feelable scratches, but still plays all the way through with surface noise and crackle in parts. These early shellac discs scratch very easily and often had labels that were loose, as can be seen with this record where the label is lifting slightly on the corners of both sides.
Sleeve Grading: G+
Front / Back: Tape on bottom and edges, edge wear, some light age wear, stain.Please check my other listings as I am selling a number of rare jazz records at the same time, I am very happy to combine postage for multiple purchases. I will also be shipping records outside the cover to prevent seam splits and will ensure that are securely padded with cardboard so that they arrive safely.
