Condition:
Vinyl – Album was apparently cleaned and has some pinwheel hazing columns /streakiness to it and some dulling to the sheen. There are a couple of dings and some shallow scuffs. The vinyl has a number of fine scratches on both sides, but nothing deep. I would personally rate this as Good+ to VG- in appearance, but I am not a professional record grader. The album is fully returnable if you disagree, as record grading is more opinion then science. It is also hard to capture scratches or scuffs in PICs of black vinyl…
Cover – edges have been masking taped on 2 edges and the bottom has some bluish color bleed. Good-
Booklet - has one corner tear and a 1/4" split to the lower spine; as pictured.
Sound quality: Album starts out with considerable crackle, has a fair amount of pops, and haze on both sides during the intro’s and then it calms down and plays out fairly well. The “A” side has a couple of micro-skip/ pops at the beginning and a couple of 2-3 second screechy dropout. Then it improves considerably and plays out OK. Both sides play through.
Notes: This is a really GREAT album with beautiful horns and that meandering 50’s sound and stand out Bass stretches. SCARCE to find the original pressing these days in almost any condition!!
