DONALD BYRD "BLACKJACK" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, BST-84259. Rare vintage stereo pressing with the classic Blue & White (Liberty) labels...in outstanding condition! VAN GELDER stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Matrix number is hand-etched on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover still in shrink wrap! The personnel: Donald Byrd/trumpet; Sonny Red/alto sax; Hank Mobley/tenor sax; Cedar Walton/piano; Walter Booker/bass; Billy Higgins/drums. The vinyl is in phenomenal M- condition (beautiful gloss)...stunning!! The cardboard cover is in superb shape with tight seams and sharp corners, still in cellophane shrink wrap, displays wonderfully!! NO cut-out marks, NO bends or creases, NO seam splits. Don't sleep on this one! The songs are: Blackjack; West of the Pecos; Loki; Eldorado; Beale Street; Pentatonic.***Crisp original LIBERTY Records paper inner sleeve included!***
