DJANGO REINHARDT "THE GREAT ARTISTRY OF" 10" mono lp (David Stone Martin cover) on Clef Records MGC-516 Orig. US issue 1954 VG-/VG+. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page.) I would grade this LP VG-. I will only auction VG- condition LPs that are “classic recordings” or just very old, interesting and hard-to-find LPs. These records will have a healthy amount of play and visible scuffs or lines that do affect play. The record still plays through nicely; it’s just an obviously much-appreciated recording. Still way better than no copy at all, and in my opinion, still better than a CD. Lots of shine and beautiful overall. This is just an entirely neat collectible. It's got some noise but it is very listenable to the average listener and how often do you come across one of these in any condition. Norman Granz had this recorded in Paris a month before Reinhardt died and it is some extrordinary guitar. And this was recorded for lp these are not transcribed 78's. This is very collectible I would think even as a VG-; plus these little 10" lps are just neat to own. The Tunes: NIGHT AND DAY; NUAGES; BLUES FOR IKE; INSENSIBLMENT; BRAZIL; SEPT. SONG; CONFESSIN'; MANOIR DE MES REVES. The Jacket: I would rate the cover VG+ overall with no initials or stickers. Some minor flaking but this is a suberb old jacket (a David Stone Martin cover) and makes for a great collectible Django package. . ! US buyers (lower 48 states), for single lp, pay Media rate $4.00 what Ebay wants us to use exclusively now. Don’t know if I agree with p&h, or Priority rate $8.75 p&h which includes sturdy packing materials. To Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico the p&h is strictly $9.00 Priority rate with all handling charges included. Paypal seems to be that but I guess that is the way I will go. Insurance is optional and recommended for USA buyers. No insurance is offered to International buyers. Postage to international airmail customers out of US will range from $13.50 to $16.50 with additional lps adding $4.00 each, up to FOUR lps. These prices are determined by weight and destination. Combined shipping to all destinations will result in a lower rate per item. I sell with a "Customer Satisfaction" guarantee; (does not apply to foreign shipments lost by over-seas postal services: I take no financial responsibility for over-seas shipping); for the vinyl only, not shipping costs. Payments should be made within SEVEN days of purchase or item will be relisted. For USA buyers that use Media mail I would really recommend insurance as you can’t track media mail and I won’t take financial responsibility for lps lost in the media mail.
