Description

DESCRIPTION: This is the white label UK private pressing of Diamond Head's first album, often called "The White Album" (on later represses the official title given to this album was 'Lightning To The Nations'). The initial run of 1,000 copies of this album were signed by the band, and this one has been signed in blue biro on the front of the cover by the drummer, Duncan Scott.
The vinyl looks clean under normal lighting; under a bright LED light, I can see 3 superficial smudges on side B, but these do nothing. There are no scratches, but as is typical of cheaply-made private pressings, there are a few pressing dimples visible on side A. For the large part, these dimples do not affect playback, but there is just one tiny dimple visible halfway through the first track on side 1 ('Lightning To The Nations'), which causes a small skip*; however, the rest of the vinyl plays loud and clear with great sound.  Normally, I would grade the vinyl as EX, but because of the small skip, I am downgrading to VG+. [*For reference, my cartridge is a Dynavector Te Kaitora Rua with a tracking force of 2.0 grams.].
The plain white cover has a faint impression of the record, and there is some staining due to age, but the seams are clean with no splits and very few signs of wear. Comes complete with the original clear polythene inner sleeve with blue font, which has all seams intact.
GRADING: Unless a record is sealed, I play-grade everything on a high-end turntable. My grading is strict, so even if you are buying a 'VG+' record from me, the chances are that you are actually buying a very nice keeper copy. Nevertheless, grading is quite subjective; so, if you feel that I haven't graded something properly, please contact me immediately. As a collector of vinyl myself, I know how important customer satisfaction is and I will do everything I can to resolve any issues.

SHIPPING: I do not use eBay's Global Shipping Program; the shipping costs quoted in my listings are the actual cost of shipping from the UK. I do not profit from shipping and I always refund any overpayment for shipping. I do ship internationally, but note that the shipping cost quoted for international shipping is for the US only. For other destinations, please contact me for a shipping quote or, alternatively, just pay the automatic invoice that you will recieve and I will refund any overpayment.

PACKAGING: I do not charge for packaging costs. All records are packed well in sturdy record mailers with additional cardboard for protection. To prevent any seam splits during transit, I always ensure that records are packed outside of their covers.
