CIATO & CIATO'S DIVAGAZIONI Lp (produced by ALDO PAGANI). Original Italian pressing on ELEVEN label (EL25112), from 1975. Super-obscure release that some dealers class as Italian prog. Features some very cool themes, especially the experimental disco epic that opens side 2. Spaced-out / mellow funky groove with macabre spoken word narration. Great build up from the long intro into strings and deep disco rhythms with congas / flute / horns and wah wah that morph and change tempo under the bizarre storyline. Spooky and unique mood music for the leftfield disco collector that sounds refreshingly different to our ears. Maybe the kind of sleazy tune that should have been played-out in the infamous Italian nightclubs of Tabu or Baia back in the day. Spellbinding, disco-tinged lounge on QUINTA ANAUCO with strangely compulsive vocals / groovy orchestrations / wah wah and bassline. Lovely intro with downtempo hip hop motifs. Actually an alternative vocal version of an Aldemaro Romero penned theme. CRAZY MAN CRAZY is a trippy mix of soft psych / hippie folk rock and lounge orchestrations with magical vocals sung in English. Strange pop like a missing theme from Un Uomo Dalla Pelle Dura film soundtrack library by Carlo Pes. Original insert with liner notes for all themes. Beautiful, psychedelic sleeve artwork. Rare Lp!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with light scuffs and hairlines. Some old, faded residue marks from the pressing plant. All themes have some degree of surface noise but most probably the actual pressing. The soft card sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with corner wear and edge wear / crease lines where bottom left corner has been bent / and score line indentations across middle area. Rare Lp!!!
