INFORMATION ON 10" AND 12" 78'S

I am not including photos of the 78's because quite frankly I just have too many to list and little ole me doing all the work.  I know that anyone buying these 78's is going to be someone who is a collector who more than likely knows exactly what they want and the condition they will accept.  I am creating my own grading score here for the 78's I have so that you will know what you are getting.

I do have boxes of record sleeves that are separated from the records.  All records will include a generic sleeve but if I have the label sleeve I will also include that.

MY 78 GRADING SCALE

BEYOND THE OVERALL GRADING PLEASE READ MY PERSONAL REMARKS ON THIS RECORD BELOW

A - This will be a record that appears to have been unplayed.  The label will be perfect without any evidence of spindle marks.   It may have some surface marks but overall it is a record that has stood the test of time without being abused.

B - A record in nice condition but does have more than just a few surface marks. Label will still be in good condition with perhaps light spindle marks.   It may be a record that appears not to have been played but perhaps not handled as carefully as the above and so it crosses the line.  This is still a beautiful record that should play fine.

C - An obviously played record, still lot of gloss and I am not questioning whether or not it will play.

Due to the volume of records I have to sell I will not be listing worn or questionalbe records.  So my C grade will still be a decent record.

DISTINCTIVE SONG STYLINGS

ALBUM SET

Label:  Decca No. A-652

My Grade- A-/B+

I found this album set in amongst this mountainous collection and knew it was special.  I wanted to get it into the right hands as soon as possible.   If you are looking for this set you already know what it looks like.  Mine is in good condition.  It does have some light fraying and binding wear but certainly looks better to me than most that are offerred for sale.  The records appear to have been unplayed and the labels are perfect.  They do have surface marks due to dust and sitting around all of these years but there will be no problem playing them.  Unfortunately 1 of the 4 records does have a crack that has started.  The record in question is "You Better Go Now" and "No More".  I will pack this exceptionally well and double box it.  If the album and records were in poor condition I would include photos.  I also have a return policy so you can order in confidence given the information I have provided.  Google the record label and no. to see the songs included if you don't know, but it does have the very famous "Good morning heartache".

This is rare and very, very hard to find.

Record Grading For 33's and 45's

We do only a visual evaluation only of all records.

Each entry indicates reference number, speed (LP/45), Artist, Title, Label, Label #, Condition, comments and price. All prices are in US dollars.  Unless noted, Heres a brief explanation of our grading system which is similar to Goldmine's, followed by an overview of abbreviations you will encounter...

• SS  Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition
• M  Mint-perfect
• NM Near Mint - a near perfect, probably unplayed record, may have a few very light marks or scratches but looks unplayed.
• VG++ between MN and VG+
• VG+  Very Good Plus close to like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

• VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
• VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
• G+ Good Plus. In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records.
