Description

Hello there, and thankyou for viewing my items!
Having had rather a lengthy hiatus, I'm back to sell more of my collection/ 2nd copies/ records I think might be of interest to others. In previous years I've sold very rare PROG, 60s, PUNK etc, ranging from cheap record right up to £1000 records, and have invariably got good feedback. However, having been away from selling for so long I realise I need to build up current positive feedback again, hence I'm listing many items at buy it now prices, please check out my current, and coming here at my other items! Or to get the heads up on my listings before others even add me to your favourites list!

Here's Tthe incredibly rare DION & THE BELMONTS penultimate UK 78! As collectors know these later 78 releases are rarest of the rare! Their fith release at the end of 1959, and their one and only release on the UK Pye Label. The single of this release is one of their rarest UK 45s and this 78 I have never seen for sale, nor is there any record of it on sites like Popsike. So,whilst I know that 78s aren't as in vogue as 45s, but there is more of a mystery to them!  I have to admit, I've never bought or sold 78s online,as I've been very worried about them breaking in the post, as such, whilst I have lots of 78s, but am only listing a couple, as they are the more modern vinyl of the late 50s that is much less breakable. As another part of my ignorance, whilst I'm extremely well versed in grading 45s and LPs, I don't know how to grade 78s. So rather than grade them,I'll just describe them and roughly describe how I'd grade them as a 45 or LP!

VINYL: This is quite worn, having quite a lot of surface marks, and a couple of more significant marks, (as a 45 I'd grade this about VG-) though it plays through fine with a some ticks and pops in the background.
LABELS: G+ or VG-, Again similar, there is a bit of gold-print fade on the B-side, no graffitti, and a small sign of a graze where a stylus has skipped out of the final groove and has made a light concentric ring on the labels, they don't show up much on some of the photos, but please be aware they're there! A few spindle grazes nearby the cetral holes. But generally quite nice, but please judge from the photos.
