Description
Here's a rare artifact: a pre-name change, 1987 first issue promo copy of Dinosaur Jr's second album, with the extremely rare original SST press kit. This pressing was issued just prior to the lawsuit by the disgruntled SF hippie supergroup Dinosaurs, prompting the addition of "Jr" to the band name. This was a promo copy (thus, the upper right corner is clipped—see pic #5 above). The press kit includes a glossy 8" x 10" band photo, a press release on SST letterhead and a page of reviews. Note that the band photo is curled at the edges (see pic #6). The vinyl is excellent, very close to NM with a couple of faint sleeve marks visible under bright light that do not affect play. The cover is VG+ and aside from the clipped corner has shelf dings and creasing on the other three corners. See pics above!
