Description
The complete 1970 DGG Beethoven Jubilee edition.
Included in this auction are all 12 originally issued volumes, with all together 76 LPs. At least eight of the 12 volumes are first editions, only 2, 9, 10 and 11 seem to be from the 2nd pressing. There are, however, no variances concerning labels, all have the earliest small tulip "Urheber"- label.
- Condition Boxes: NM. Lightest possible storage-wear. All outer papersleeves are intact, only two have small splits. The massive red linen boxes are all in splendid minty condition, one example can be seen on photo No.5.
- Condition Vinyl: NM. I have actually not detected a single LP that showed any signs of usage. I assume that this was some sort of archive-collection that was not intended to be played by the pre-owner. Every single record is still in its gold-framed jubilee-edition innersleeve. The majority (if not all) has definitely never been removed from these sleeves.
- Condition Booklets: NM. Just like the rest: appears to be untouched.

About my record-grading:
All records are described as accurately as possible and I will always prefer a more detailed depiction of the actual status, but usually I’ll only visually grade the records.
Please note that old records that were stored in shelves for a long time might have static noises even if they still look like new. Professional cleaning will almost always solve that problem.
Dust on records will generally not influence my gradings but if records appear to have stronger signs of soiling, I will give them a professional cleaning and playgrade them to get a more objective view on what their condition is actually like.
