Description

Absolutely gorgeous copy of the rare original 1976 pressing of Dexter Wansel’s classic space-funk masterpiece LP, Life on Mars, on Philadelphia International BL-34079. Widely sampled and recently reissued (with awful mastering), this is the highly sought-after original. A cosmic soul journey unlike any other record of the time. Really something. This is a beautiful copy, still in the shrinkwrap. The disc plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. Not a single tiny tick or even light crackle anywhere. A perfect player. There are a handful of entirely superficial scuffs, which is why I rate it as VG+, but truly they don’t affect the play at all. Really it plays perfectly. The cover is just about perfectly pristine, with only the tiniest tiniest wear at the open edge. Some of the shrinkwrap has torn off on the front, and is coming loose on the back, but it’s still very much on. Also comes with the original PI inner sleeve. This is a truly top order copy, hard to beat.
