DEVO - SATISFACTION / JOCKO HOMO - LIVE SNL OCTOBER 14, 1978 - EXTREMELY RARE
Authentic 1978 original – only a few still exist.
100 of these records were originally made. Soon after pressing, the original master and many of these disks were destroyed due to legal issues.
This record is NOT to be confused with the red-letter, white-printed-label "Saturday Night Devo" bootleg that was dubbed from this record, released years later in greater quantities, and is much more readily available. This is the ORIGINAL, of which only a few still exist.
I personally bought two of these records at the Capitol Records swap meet over 40 years ago, the only place where it was originally sold. I sold the other one (the only other original copy I have ever seen listed for sale anywhere) to a rabid Devo collector for over $200 a couple of years ago.
At the time I bought it, I put Zip-A-Tone (rub-on) lettering on the originally blank labels to tell the sides apart. It could probably be removed, if desired.
This record may have been played once or twice on audiophile equipment, decades ago (if ever).
I have sold many rare punk records with pressing numbers in the tens of thousands for much more than I am asking for this EXTREMELY rare collectible. Would like to see a real DEVO-tee give it a new home!
